Introducing some of the best data storytellers from around the world. Read about them and how you can support their work
Adam Symington (PythonMaps)
I am a geospatial data scientist, leading the data science team at Geollect Ltd. and running the PythonMaps project, which is designed to spread the love of geospatial data through eye-catching visualizations. Prior to my career in data science I was a computational materials scientist at the University of Bath in England, where I used machine learning and other statistical techniques to predict the properties of materials. I have published 17 peer reviewed research papers, including 3 open-source software papers. During my time in academia, I taught Python programming to undergraduates and postgraduate students and wrote my own Python programming course. I also regularly publish geospatial data science tutorials.
